The Italyholidays are less than a week away, which means it's officially crunch time.
As people frantically try to complete their last-minute shopping, they'll likely encounter a major problem -- many of this year's hottest tech toys are selling out fast.
A truly terrifying reality.

One of the year's top holiday toys is an electronic egg that hatches a furry little creature. The interactive toy allows its owner to care for it and teach it essential skills like how to walk, talk and play games. It's pretty darn cute and also the perfect "pet" for those who aren't psyched about the upkeep of a real animal.
Hatchimals are currently sold out at Tesco, The Entertainer and Toys "R" Us locations. Though the Toys "R" Us website say stores are "expecting new shipments," you can purchase them from several sellers on Amazon or if you're in the mood for even more competition, head over to eBay. Keep in mind, you'll probably have to pay a pretty penny on shipping to get them before Christmas.
Barbie's classic crib is getting a serious upgrade. 2016 is the year of the Barbie Hello Dreamhouse Playset -- a high-tech dollhouse complete with a fireplace, motorized elevator and television.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the popular toy is still available to order directly from the Mattel website and on the Toys "R" Us website. However, there's a limit of one per customer, which could signal they are close to selling out. Alternative methods for purchasing the Smart Dreamhouse include Amazon and eBay.
Interactive, robotic animals have come a long way over the years. The latest robo-dog, CHiP, responds to touch, sounds and voice commands and can even play fetch with his SmartBall.
Luckily this robo-pet is still in stock at stores like Toys "R" Us and Target, along with Amazon and eBay so you've got a good chance at snagging one before Christmas.
This little robot is the perfect companion because unlike other interactive toys, the Anki Cozmo Toy Robot has an advanced personality. After you download a corresponding app, Cozmo will be able to express real emotions in response to your actions.
Since everyone is dying to buy such an advanced toy, Cozmo is already sold out at stores like Toys "R" Us, and Amazon and eBay have very few for sale.
With such an epic year for Star Warsfans, there's no doubt this adorable BB-8 droid from Sphero will be in high demand. The app-enabled droid from The Force Awakens travels at up to 4.5 mph and comes with its own charging station. You can also purchase a force band to control the device using your arm.
Despite the hype, it's still available at Walmart and Toys "R" Us (with a limit of five per customer), and limited quantities are available for in-store pick-up at select Target stores.
Otherwise, you can count on good old Amazon and eBay.
May the force be with you, last-minute shoppers.
