Happy holidays,Shameless sex scenes compilation from season 6 Spotify users! Spotify Wrapped is finallyhere, and it's chockful of new features that will have you questioning your 2023 listening habits and maybe even your emotional state. And you can even check it out on your desktop via Wrapped's all-new Web View.
Before your feeds are flooded with other people's Wrapped results, let's break down this year's gimmicks — from revealing your Sound Town to how Wrapped manifests on Spotify's AI DJ.
Me in 2023 unveils the way you listened to music in 2023. It assigns you one of 12 specific "listening characters" that range from Cyclops — for those who listen to one genre and one genre only — to Shapeshifter — for those who are uninhibited by artist or genre.
Perhaps this year's wackiest new reveal is your Sound Town. It matches you up with the location that listens to the most similar music as you. From Bend, Oregon to Burlington, Vermont to Davis, California, you might find a new travel destination to meet up with like-minded listeners.
For the first time, you can invite your friends to create a Blend playlist of all your top songs of the year, which is sure to inspire conversations and chaos in your group chats.
Spotify launched its AI DJ earlier this year, and now it's celebrating its first Wrapped. To mark the occasion, when you listen to your AI DJ this week instead of the regularly scheduled programming, it will run through your top artists, songs, and genres of the year with some additional commentary curated from Spotify's expert editorial team.
Last year's Wrapped depicted you as an astronaut exploring different genre planets. Now your top genres are presented as fillings to a delicious genre sandwich. The bigger the portion of the sandwich, the more you listened to that genre. To make things even more tasty, the variety of sandwich fixings reflects the sonic diversity on the charts this year.
