On Twitter, people used the hashtag to dedicate their political voices to 19th century suffragists, grandmothers, teachers, civil rights leaders, mothers, wives, and so many others.

Voting rights, of course, are a constant theme in many of the #DedicateYourVoteToAWoman tweets. Many have dedicated their votes to the figures who symbolize how far women's voting rights have come -- from the grandmothers who lived in a time when they couldn't vote to the suffragists who fought for American women's right to vote.
