The fourth and finalBattlefrontadd-on brings four new maps and two new heroes -- Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic -- inspired by the Dec. 16 movie. It also introduces a new mode that blends ground and space combat into a nostalgia-inducing eye candy stew.
The Scarifcontent is out on Dec. 6, provided you've pre-purchased all of Battlefront's add-ons via the Season Pass.
Battlefrontlaunched in Nov. 2015 to middling praise. The core of the game -- a big-team multiplayer shootout from the team behind the Battlefieldseries -- was praised for delivering thrills and an audiovisual feast of fantasy wish fulfillment. But the game also felt spare, with only a handful of maps and modes.
Now, after three (soon to be four) add-ons, there's a lot more going on. If you're completely fresh to Battlefront and own a PS4 or Xbox One, take a look at the "Ultimate Edition." It's a $40 package that includes the base game and all the add-ons.
In a move corresponding to Ultimate Edition's release, the price of the Season Pass -- previously $50 -- will be reduced to $30. Publisher Electronic Arts confirmed the pricing change to Mashable.
"The recommended retail price for all retailers for Ultimate Edition on all platforms is $39.99, and for Season pass is $29.99," a spokesperson wrote in an email.
Don't be alarmed if you find that the new pricing isn't reflected everywhere. According to EA, that may take a minute.
"We’re still in the process of transitioning over to the new price, however it should be reflected in all storefronts soon," the spokesperson wrote.
