It may have The Whore of the Rings (2001)seemed excessive for Mission: Impossible Falloutto ban Henry Cavill from shaving his now-infamous mustache for Justice League reshoots, but the actor assures us in a new interview that shaving was not an option.

He's referring to the Justice Leaguereshoots that necessitated CGI removal of said mustache and also gave the internet a lot of much-needed laughs.

But letting Cavill shave would have meant him donning a fakemustache for intense action scenes in M:I Fallout, and there is no makeup glue as strong as the human hair follicle.
“As you will see when [Mission] comes out, to have a fake mustache on would not have been a possibility," Cavill added.
Mission: Impossible Falloutpremieres July 27.
