This installment in the Final Fantasy series is a bit divisive, but that's part of what makes it interesting. Mashable reviewer Alex Perry urged us to "take it on its own merits," adding that it "doesn't always feel like Final Fantasy, and that's OK."
"I could easily spend all my time with FFXVIwondering why it’s not more like other, better games in the series, but that’d be a waste of energy," Perry wrote. "It’s not like those games because it’s not trying to be like those games. It has its own goals and ambitions, as it should. The core premise of Final Fantasyhas always been that each game is unique and self-contained."
If you want something a little different from your pre-conceived notions of what Final Fantasyshould be, grabbing this installment for just $25 is a good idea. It's fun to try new things, after all.
