UPDATE: Feb. 9,Passion's Peak (2002) 2018, 1:43 p.m. EST Fergie spoke out about the resurfaced interview Thursday, clarifying the context behind being bit by Quentin Tarantino. The story has been updated to include those details.
After allegations of abusive behavior came out against filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, Jezebel resurfaced a 2007 interview with the singer Fergie in which she said Tarantino bit her on set of a film, causing bruising. She clarified Thursday that it was just on-set banter, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
In the special features of the home release of Grindhouse— a 2007 double-feature of Tarantino's Death Proofand Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror— Fergie explained that Tarantino, playing the role of a rapist who becomes a zombie in Planet Terror, bit her while the two were filming a scene. She then shows her bruised arm.

Fergie said on Thursday that the interview was taken out of context.
"First off, I stand with victims everywhere no matter what genre, race, gender, age," she said. "I stand with victims period, and I don't want to take away from anyone's story. That just wasn't my story."
"We were just kind of having banter," she continued. "We were having a little bit of fun. But make no mistake, I don't want to take away from anyone's story, and I stand with every victim and everyone's story everywhere."
Tarantino has recently come under fire after Uma Thurman, the star of his Kill Billfilms, opened up about how the director spit in her face and choked her for scenes in the movies, and also put her life in danger with a car stunt that left her with permanent damage in her neck and knees. While Fergie's reference to the bite seems lighthearted, it's now being scrutinized as Tarantino's behavior is under a spotlight.
In addition to Thurman's reveal, a 2003 interview with Tarantino recently resurfaced in which the director defended Roman Polanski for drugging and preying on a 13-year-old girl, which inspired actress Busy Phillips to come out against Tarantino. Tarantino has since apologized for his comments.
As the #MeToo movement began building in late 2017, Tarantino also came under fire for being aware of some of the predatory allegations made against Harvey Weinstein, yet continuously worked with the disgraced producer.
