Here we see the villain Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens dragging a young fan by the legs. Kylo Ren has a United pin on his chest, and the sign he's wearing reads, "United Airlines: We know how to use the Force."
It's dangerous to make light of a situation as grave as the one that occurred on Sunday. No matter how much we jest or joke, we should not lose sight of the fact that unjust suffering is at the root of this terrible incident. Using this moment just to get a laugh inappropriately takes advantage of a man's traumatic experience.
But in this Star Wars instance, the message is also pretty clear. Comparing United Airlines to a villain is not too far from the truth. From Sunday's video to the many reports of mistreatment from United customers in the past, it's safe to say that the airline would feel right at home on the Dark Side.
