LOS ANGELES -- Christmas has come early this year: Anna Kendrick is contact usin talks to play a female Santa Claus in the Disney project Nicole, Mashablehas confirmed.
Plot details are scant at this point, and the project is still coming together -- so the dream of seeing the Pitch Perfectstar in trimmed red fur may still belong with the sugarplums. But a director is set in Marc Lawrence (Miss Congeniality 2), who also wrote the script.

A source with knowledge of the project told Mashablethat talks are indeed underway, though no dates for release or production start have been set.
