Instagram isn't about to let everyone else have One on One Lessons Where You Learn Through Hands on Caressingall the fun. Yep, now it has a dark mode option.
The new feature comes with the latest update to the app (version 114.0, for what it's worth) which rolled out in iOS early Tuesday. And, if you're a big fan of dark mode, it's glorious.
There's a small catch, however. As noted by Engadget, Instagram doesn't have a dark mode option that can be toggled off and on. Instead, whether you're on Android or iOS 13, dark mode must be enabled in your phone's settings for it to be active in the app.
In iOS 13, there are a few ways to turn on dark mode. First, you can find the option in the "Display & Brightness" section of your settings. Second, you can just ask Siri to turn it on. And, finally, if you hold the brightness level indicator in the control panel, it'll bring up an option screen that includes the dark mode toggle switch.
In Android 10, you'll find the "Dark Theme" option in the "Theme" submenu of the "Display" section of your settings.
